Odynexus is a brand new shoot'em up for the Atari Lynx, featuring fantastic pixelart, huge bosses, swarm of terrific ennemies and frenetic arcade action!
You are Odynexus, the legendary space warrior who defeated the Electrogods and conquered Trox, their capital city. Now after all these years, the time has finally come to fly back to Itanika, your home, and to Penelope, your wife. But the Electrogods are not dead yet... Irritated by this unexpected defeat, they are now summoning their most powerful machines... the Mechatitans!!!

At the beginning of 2024, Odynexus won the award for Best Homebrew Game at the 6th Atari Homebrew Awards, after winning Best WIP Homebrew Game at the 5th Atari Homebrew Awards the previous year and placing 3rd at Silly Venture 2019.
In 2020, we released a demo version, and while it is slightly outdated and does not reflect the final game, please try it and share your feedback with us! The demo features:
- the first 2 levels
- multiple enemies and giant bosses
- huge pixelart world
- original music by Drozerix
- hi-score eeprom saving

Is there (or will there be) a physical release of this game? I would love to buy a copy, but so far all I can find is this demo and the information that a release was planned for early 2023...
Hello! The demo is slightly outdated as the game has evolved tremendously since the release of the demo. The game is actually in production and will be available on AtariAge store in a couple of weeks :) (check this URL: https://atariage.com/store/index.php?l=product_list&c=25)
Is there any exclusive emulator for atari Lynx to play your awesome game ?
There are plenty of emulators out there: Handy, Mednafen, Felyx and more. I would recommend the latter: https://github.com/laoo/Felix/releases

Great news on the digital version, I am very keen to play this: The Lynx needs some love.

Great work! My only feedback is that the boss battle (at least the first one) is a bit too quick.
Thanks! The demo is deliberately easy so that people get a chance to experience it without frustration. The final game will have different difficulty levels.
